THE Way to Eat!

 

If you haven't heard of Paleo nutrition, you need to research it. I was looking for some books that went into detail about your body's hormones and how what you eat effects it, and I stumbled across a book called "The Paleo Solution". It seemed interesting, but I assumed it was like every other "diet" book out there that called for crazy restrictions that couldn't be followed long term. However, after reading the first two chapters, I was hooked. The author, Robb Wolf, broke down the science of how we metabolize our food (which was EXACTLY what I was looking for) and what/how causes inflammation in our bodies. (Inflammation is what causes sickness and disease). Everything that was written in that book made sense. Finally!

After finishing that book, I immediately started reading "Everyday Paleo", which is a cook book loaded with recipes - also highly recommended! Side Note: You MUST be willing to cook and plan ahead with this lifestyle! Absolutely the hardest thing for me to get used to, but totally worth it!

I have been eating strictly Paleo for about a week, and I feel amazing! I have never enjoyed shopping, preparing or eating food as much as I do now! Everyone must try this! It is not a diet, but a lifestyle, so you must be ready for the change! Well worth it! I copied some links below that I found helpful getting me started. If you're interested in the science of how all this works, you must pick up Robb Wolf's book!
